    Hints and Tips

• Whilst in storage, cartons, bubble wrap and plastic covers will protect your goods and are available at the complex.
• Fill all cartons to capacity and all heavy items like books or tools should be packed in small cartons so they are easier to handle. ( Books should be packed flat, not on their spine.)
• Always place heavy items at the rear of your unit, and lighter fragile items on top. To access things you may need, place a small walkway between your goods.

  APPLIANCES

  Fridges, freezers and other white goods should be cleaned and left open whilst stored in your unit.

  FURNITURE

  Tape all drawers when transporting goods to your unit, to stop damage to your furniture. Vacuum food from lounges to prevent vermin being attracted.

  DISHES AND GLASSWARE

  Protect your fragile items by wrapping them individually in any packing paper. Fill all gaps in cartons with extra paper to prevent movement whilst storing, and label these cartons 'Fragile' to avoid heavy items being stored on top of them.

  MIRRORS, PAINTING ETC

  These items should be stored in bubble wrap or into a flat pack carton. Store them on their edges, not lying flat.

  TELEVISIONS, VIDEOS ETC

  Again these items must be wrapped in bubble wrap, or in their original cartons. Packing them into our boxes are a great idea, but remember to pack out any gaps with paper. Pack CD'S in the CD boxes to prevent movement. Computers need to be packed in cartons with bubble wrap added for extra protection.

  MOWER AND OTHER MACHINERY

  All mowers and machiney must have fuel and oils drained from their engines. This prevents the risk of spillage and damage to other goods stored in your unit. Petrol and oil left in your unit are a fire hazard.

  Please do not store any illegal, stolen, inflammable, explosive or perishable goods in your units
